Pacemakers 86 trust partnered with Department of Health and family welfare today for a cancer screening camp for Asha and anganawadi workers of Bangalore Urban District in Doddabanavara phc, Blore North as a part of International womens day celebrations…
About 185 Asha and anganawadi workers attended!
Cervical, breast and oral cancers screening was done along with Diabetes, hypertension and skin clinic!
About 115 pap smears was collected,11 asha workers were detected with Diabetes and 10 with hypertension.
Drindira Kabade gynaecologist spearheaded the cancer screening campaign!
About 50 skin pts were seen by Srinivas C Basavaiah

Health checkup camp for pourakarmikas
Today we had a health checkup camp for pourakarmikas of bellandur and marathhalli wards in partnership with Mythri speaks!
190 pourakarmikas were screened for hypertension, diabetic, skin ailments,eye defects, gynaecological problems and a general checkup…
About 50 school children were also screened for skin ailments..
Dr Y R Shashidhar, Dr Narendra, Dr Girish, Dr Malathi Chandrasekhar and me attended the camp besides the picturesque kaikondarahalli lake!
22 new hypertension cases and 29 diabetic cases were detected and treatment started?
21 patients received spectacles on the spot for refractive errors!!

Rations sponsored by Ramesh,a dear friend of mine and clothes by Vishwajeet Malajure was distributed to 40 leprosy patients!!!
The most poignant moment of the day was a suit of mine adorning a leprosy patient with a promise to keep him warm for years to come?
