The summer of 1986….
A huge ensemble of teenagers, almost 150 of them from all over India and abroad, from varied culture, creed and social strata, all filled with unlimited dreams and aspirations were put together in Ambedkar Medical College to be trained to become doctors!
The next 5 to 6 years was a roller coaster ride…The dissection tables, biochemistry labs, burning of the midnight oils, the infatuation, the heart breaks, Kannada rajyotsavas, TT tournaments, plexus, pacemakers, picnics, clinics, night duties, the holi celebrations… All a riot!!! Eventually all triumphed and found themselves spread all over the world carving a beautiful life for themselves and touching others lives in their wonderful ways…
Then came the summer of 2014….
Exactly on 21st May 2014 venkatesh, madhu, Patney, rajesh mehta sitting in different parts of the world brought us back together to form a whats app group “1986 batch reunion”…. Life was never the same again… All of us got lost in the tsunami of friendship, love and affection! Each ones triumph, happiness, grief and sorrow was everybody’s emotion…It was a wonderful life started all over again! A few reunions both micro and mini reunions kept the fervour up for the gearing up for the grand reunion in December 2016!!
When the initial fervour settled down, a few of us mooted an idea of forming a ‘Trust’ to do our bit for the society. On 22-9-2015, 9 of our batch mates got the trust registered in the name of “Pacemakers 86 Trust”. A momentous occasion for our 1986 batch!
